Quinton Butler is a screen printer, visual artist, and graphic designer based in the DMV. Quinton uses the pseudonym JoyBoy for his creative work because it lets him express himself more freely. Before art and graphic design, Quinton served as a medical laboratory specialist in the U.S. Army for five years. Despite his late start as an artist and designer, Quinton believes his life experiences enable him to communicate more effectively through his work. Quinton’s art is rooted in nostalgia and focuses on things that shaped his childhood. When it comes to graphic design, Quinton enjoys working in the music and sports industries. Quinton wants to open a screenprinting studio one day, where he can combine his passion for art and design to communicate with others.
